ECLECTIC folk music is the order of the night at Ilminster Arts Centre May 17.

Mitchell and Vincent are a West Country folk duo who play traditional and contemporary styles of fiddle and guitar, with a foot tapping repertoire of songs from around the British Isles.

Arquebus is a dynamic Somerset based folk trio formed by local vocalist, guitarist and bouzouki player Sam Patten, with Alex on fiddle, and Sarah on bass and mandolin.

All three are regulars on the ceilidh circuit having met playing in long standing barn dance band Hobson’s Choice some years ago.

Jemima is a folk/country musician from Somerset whose original songs incorporate themes of family, loved ones and cherished places.

Her uncomplicated yet delicate guitar work provides the perfect accompaniment for her strong and mesmerising voice.

To see this mix of folk music, visit Ilminster Arts Centre on May 17 at 8pm. Tickets for the concert cost £10.
