FIREFIGHTERS were called out York Road in Bridgwater just before 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 1 after a fire broke out at the back of the property.
A rubbish fire to the rear of the property was quickly spreading and affecting nearby fencing, and further calls from the residents confirmed the fire had spread further to the outside of the house.
Crews were soon on the scene and quickly had the fire under control using two breathing apparatus and hose reel jets.
However by this time the fire had spread further and damaged two of the properties in a terraced row of four, causing damage to some rear windows and electric cabling.
The firefighters extinguished the blaze within an hour, preventing further spread.
Fortunately no was injured during the incident.
Duty of care was left with the occupants.
