FROM North Pethrton to Dunwear, Bridgwater to Burnham, tomorrow (May 2) is an important day for our district.
For we are heading to the polls to select the people who will represent our views on Sedgemoor District Council for the next four years.
Voters will choose councillors across 23 wards - or areas - stretching from one side of the district to the other, to represent them on matters as diverse as planning, infrastructure, business and more.
The last time the district headed out to vote, in May 2015, the final makeup of Sedgemoor District Council was:
Conservatives: 35 seats
Labour: 10 seats
UKIP: Two seats
Liberal Democrats: 1 seat
Green Party: No seats
Independent: No seats
But that is all history.
Tomorrow, it is up to you, the voters, to decide how our council looks for the next four years.
