TWO adults and three children had to be rescued after their vehicle got stuck in a Somerset ford.
Firefighters were called to reports the quintet had got stuck in water at around 4.35pm yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon in Wetmoor Lane, Yarley, Wells.
"One fire appliance from Wells and one from Glastonbury were sent to a report of a vehicle, containing five occupants, stuck in water," said a Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson.
"On arrival crews confirmed that the vehicle was stuck in approximately half a metre of water in a ford.
"The water was slow moving and so there was no risk of the vehicle being moved.
"Fire crews rescued two adults and three children using water safety equipment and a short extension ladder."
