A BUS was left with several smashed windows following a collision with a van on the diversion route around the A358 closure at Sampford Brett.
The picture was captured by Scott Cook of Chris's Crackers in Carhampton who said sending large vehicles down the small side routes was 'ridiculous' and said something like this was bound to happen.
The incident happened around 8.30am and involved one of the Buses of Somerset's 28 services.
"I really think people just need to apply a bit of common sense around these narrow roads," Mr Cook said.
"It has been a bit of a nightmare, my colleague got stuck when two buses met on the diversion and severely struggled to pass one another yesterday morning (Thursday, March 21)."
