THERE are less than 24 hours left to enter the County Gazette’s Battle of the Bands competition.

The deadline was extended for a chance to be one of six top local bands to play the Somerset Show, and your County Gazette has teamed up with Muddy Road Studios to offer a grand prize on the day.

The Somerset Show is being held at Taunton Racecourse on July 14 and there, Muddy Road owner James Willment and Gazette editor Paul Jones will judge their favourite.

The act rated as the best after the show will win a two-day recording session at Muddy Road.

James said: “We are offering two days of recording from 10am until 6pm, and then with set up the night before.”

James will take the role of sound engineer for the session, and can do producing too. On a forth day he will then mix, and the band can join him again.

There is still time to submit your band or solo entry.

The deadline for entries is midnight on March 21.
