A MAN living in Bridgwater has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for severely beating a man in Minehead.
Salvatore Moran, 30, of Friarn Avenue in Bridgwater was jailed at Taunton Crown Court following a trial where he was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm.
Moran attacked West Somerset man Ben Rogers in Alcombe Road on Thursday, August 16 last year at around 7pm.
Mr Rogers was hospitalised following the attack which left him with a head injury.
Moran, who grew up in West Somerset, was found guilty and sentenced to 14 years in prison for the attack.
Moran was also sentenced to serve four years concurrently for a robbery charge.
