BOSSES at New Look said they are 'unable to confirm' how long their Bridgwater store will be closed for following a fire.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 7.42pm on Wednesday (March 13) following several reports from members of the public that there was a fire in New Look in Cornhill. 

Fifteen fire engines from across Somerset were sent to fight the fire in the four storey property and the building suffered 10 per cent fire damage and 40 per cent smoke damage.

Luckily no one was injured in the fire, which was firefighters say was started accidentally.

The store in Cornhill remains closed today (March 14) but bosses have not revealed when the store will reopen.

A spokesman for New Look, said: "We can confirm a fire broke out in our Bridgwater store on March 13, fortunately no one was injured.

"The store is currently closed and whilst we assess the damage, we are unable to confirm how long it will be closed for."
