A MAN has been treated by paramedics following a house fire in Bridgwater.
Firefighters were called out to Friarn Avenue shortly after 1pm today, and found a fire had broken out in the bedroom of a property.
Crews used two breathing apparatus sets, one hose reel jet, one safety jet to extinguish the fire.
Crews also used a positive pressure ventilation fan was also used to clear the smoke from the building.
The cause is believed to have been deliberate.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "One adult male was treated at the scene by the ambulance service.
"The fire was believed to have been started deliberately."
