AmicusLaw is sponsoring the Community Hero Award and a spokesperson said: “At AmicusLaw we like to feel we are very much part of the community in which we are based, our clients are drawn from and our staff often live.

“As solicitors we assist people from all backgrounds and from all walks of life, generally when their lives are at their most complicated or they are having to grapple with challenges they have never had to face before.

“It never ceases to amaze us at AmicusLaw just how robust the people who live in and around the Sedgemoor district are. Therefore we are proud to support such community based awards as the Pride of Sedgemoor and are very pleased to be able to be part of the group of business and individuals recognising what an amazing bunch of people live their lives around us.

“We chose to sponsor the Community Hero award as we feel that selfless people deserve to be celebrated and recognised for the true heroes they are.”

A spokesperson for The Somerset Care Group, which is sponsoring the Care Award, said: “The Somerset Care Group is an award-winning, not-for-profit provider of care and support services across the South West.

“The quality of care delivery in Somerset is incredibly important to us, which is why we’re proud to be sponsoring the ‘Care Award’ at this year’s Pride of Sedgemoor Awards.

“With nearly 4,000 members of care staff across the South West, we understand how hard both carers and unpaid carers work to make a difference to the lives of others, and we’re delighted to be part of recognising those unsung heroes.”

A spokesperson for Angel Place Shopping Centre said: “We are thrilled to once again be a sponsor of the Pride of Sedgemoor Awards.

“Supporting this prestigious, community event is something we’re very proud of. It’s wonderful to have this opportunity to celebrate the many inspiring individuals and local businesses doing exceptional work throughout Sedgemoor.

“Angel Place will be sponsoring the Charity Hero Award, which will honour a deserving person or group of people who tirelessly go above and beyond to help others.

“We are very excited to receive all the nominations and learn more about the extraordinary members of the public that make Sedgemoor a truly special place.”
