YOU should never shout 'fire' in a crowded theatre - but if you need to, Taunton's firefighters will be on hand to help.
To keep their skills fine-tuned, our emergency services take part in practice exercises.
The latest exercise saw Taunton's white watch and on-call firefighters rescue multiple causalities from a practice theatre fire.
The crews were hosted by King's College for the exercise.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "King's College in Taunton hosted a fire service exercise on February 20.
"Crews from Taunton, Wellington, Wiveliscombe and Dulverton attended.
"The focus of the exercise was a fire within the theatre with multiple casualties unaccounted for.
"A special thanks to King's College staff and Avon and Somerset Police Cadets who played the role as casualties and the officers who attended to observe the exercise."
