THE winners of the Bridgwater Carnival mask and model cart competitions have received their prizes.
Hundreds of children from schools across the Bridgwater area took part in the popular competitions which this year had the theme ‘World Space Week’.
The winners of the large carnival mask competition were 1st Little Crickets Nursery, 2nd, St Mary’s Primary School, joint 3rd, Nether Stowey Primary School and Elmwood School.
North Newton trio Sophie, Cassia and Summer-Rose picked up the prizes in the small masks contest, while George from St Joseph’s Primary School won best model carnival cart.
In addition to cash prizes the winners of the small mask and model cart competitions received mini 3D printers from sponsors Autodesk.
Organisers thanked the staff at EDF Energy Centre in Angel Place who organised the display of entries during November and December.
