RESIDENTS in Sedgemoor are being asked to share their thoughts and ideas for open spaces, sports and leisures across the district.

Sedgemoor District Council's Planning Policy team are currently preparing an open space, sport and recreation study for the district and are inviting residents to have their say.

The aim of the study is to ensure communities across the district have access to facilities, services and open spaces and the study will incorporate a playing pitch strategy, a play audit, a built facilities assessment and an assessment of informal recreation space.

Residents are being asked to complete a survey to help the council gather information and to assist residents completing the survey, the study is accompanied by an online interactive map.

The map displays the council's current understanding of the open space, sport and recreation sites in Sedgemoor - including those that have been recently lost, those that are planned for the future and those that are privately owned.
