THREE people have been arrested following a police raid on a property in Gloucester Road, Bridgwater.
Residents were shocked as a large police presence including armed officers descended on the property at around 4.15pm this afternoon (Tuesday, January 8).
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We carried out an intelligence-led operation following information from the community which involved a warrant being executed at a property in Gloucester Road, Bridgwater.
"This operation involved firearm officers and members of the neighbourhood police team."
The police spokesman confirmed that three people had been arrested following the raid and said enquiries were ongoing.
As of 7.15pm, police were continuing to carry out their investigations at the property.
