A NEW steel footbridge is set to be installed at the end of January in Bridgwater’s Quantock Meadow.
The new bridge will replace an old timber bridge down near Whitegate Fields.
It is a popular walkway for nearby schools, and Sedgemoor District Council say there will be plenty of signage put up nearer the time to warn people about the upcoming work.
The walkway will be closed for 12 days from Monday, January 28 in order to allow the dismantling and clearance of the old bridge, as well as installing the new bridge.
It is hoped that the work will be finished on Friday, February 8.
