WOOLAVINGTON WI had a busy festive period and has plenty on the horizon for 2019.

December saw the WI get into the festive spirit with their Christmas party, featuring festive music, dancing, puzzles and a delicious buffet with Mediterranean, Asian and traditional cuisine.

Forthcoming events include an Alternative Burns Night in January and 'Getting to Know You' in February.

February also sees the WI's 'Show the Love Soup and Puds' event where everyone is welcome to join for lunch and an opportunity to be creative making felt hearts and decorating heart biscuits on Saturday, Febraury 16 at the Village Hall.

Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children and available by calling 01278 683947.

Mrs Hemms said: "If your New Year’s resolution is to do something new, why not join us? New members are always welcome.

"We meet every third Tuesday of the month at Woolavington Village Hall at 7:30pm. We pride ourselves on being a WI that is fun and informative, a place to make new friends and enjoy social events.

"Women can share knowledge, learn new skills and participate in campaigns both locally and nationally. Member’s opinions are sought and everyone encouraged in having a voice in their WI."
