A SELFLESS coach driver made sure 60 Bridgwater schoolchildren who were set to miss a special trip to see a panto enjoyed a festive fairytale ending after all.
Youngsters from Westover Green Primary School had been eagerly anticipating their outing to Bristol’s Hippodrome to see Dick Whittington in 2011.
But when there was a last-minute problem which meant their coach was unavailable, head teacher Heather Good was preparing to tell the pupils the trip had been cancelled.
They got in touch with coach firm Bakers Dolphin, who had driver Martin Blowers just around the corner. Although his shift had been about to end, he agreed to take them to Bristol.
