At around 1.30pm that Wednesday officers in Bristol stopped a suspicious vehicle and arrested three men on suspicion of the burglary.
All three were later released under investigation while police enquiries continue.
Investigating officer PC 1344 Charles Fitzpatrick said: “I’d ask people to look out for their neighbours and report any suspicious activity as we’ve seen a small increase in burglaries and thefts from vehicles in the area recently.
“We know that communities can play a big part in deterring criminals by looking out for each other. I’d ask everyone to do their bit to help keep Minehead safe. If you see someone behaving suspiciously around a neighbour’s property please call us straight away. It’s 999 if they’re obviously about to commit a crime, otherwise ring 101.”
