Light contest

RESIDENTS in the North Petherton parish are being challenged to turn their homes into spectacular winter wonderlands.

North Petherton Town Council is once again running its Christmas Decoration Contest, where the best decorated home in the area will be awarded a trophy.

Judging is set to take place in the coming weeks and the council hope the contest will inspire residents to go all out to brighten their homes for the festive period, creating a lovely atmosphere.

North Petherton Town Council have also put up a Christmas tree on the approach to Wilstock.

Put up on Monday afternoon (December 3), the tree was paid for by Cllr Marion Denham, collected and delivered by the mayor of North Petherton Cllr Alan Bradford, and put up by staff from Persimmon Homes.
