YOUNGSTERS at North Newton School are this year dreaming of a green Christmas.
The school's PTFA and staff have been busy implementing a ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ topic this term, helping pupils understand more about the environment and pollution.
With the help of generous donations from the community, the children, along with their own little helpers, have been busy making crafts and games from recycled and donated items.
And to show off their creativity - and raise vital funds for the school - a Green Christmas fair was held at the school on November 29, where the entrepreneurs sold their creations.
Headteacher, Nick Arnold said: “Our children worked hard making items to sell by reusing materials, recycling them to reduce waste – some gifts would be worth putting forward on Dragon’s Den.
"An amazingly wonderful effort by all – especially our very active PTFA who have, once again, worked tirelessly to put on an amazing event."
