THE late Autumn sunshine shone on the crowds that visited the 26th annual Rural Living Christmas Show.

Held at King’s Hall School in Taunton, there were queues both mornings at 10am.

For some the Rural Living Show is the “official start to Christmas”, according to local sponsors ToneFM.

Louise Walker, the organiser of the show, is a local business woman who owns Prioryfield House Business Centre in Taunton. She believes the key to the show’s success is the large number of local crafts people and small businesses that are there each year.

Somerset County Gazette:

As an annual showcase for incredible crafts and producers – many of which are totally unique – it is the perfect place to find Christmas presents for those you love and for yourself.

Each year the show raises money for the Children’s Hospice South West. The supporters run a stand in the foyer and all the entertainers around the show rattle buckets, meaning that thousands are raised annually for this wonderful charity.

Louise was hugely pleased with this year’s show and with all the support that it received. She also wanted to thank the terrific group that help during the weekend and throughout the year. She believes it really is a team effort!

Somerset County Gazette:

If you missed out this year, then dates for the 2019 show will be released in January.
