BRIDGWATER folk turned out to a restaurant in the town to enjoy live music as part of its first anniversary celebrations.

The River Parrett Restaurant on Salmon Parade marked a year in business with its diners, including special guest mayor Diogo Rodrigues, and a performance by professional musician Andy Doran.

Lukasz Filak, manager of the restaurant, said: “We can’t believe it is already a year since we first opened.

"We have gone from strength-to-strength and would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to all our loyal customers who have dined with us during the past year and our excellent staff who have always gone above and beyond the call of duty.

“We were thrilled to have Andy performing for us during the night, he played a great mix of classic and modern cover songs for everyone and it was great to have lots of people celebrating with us.”

The River Parrett Restaurant sources its ingredients locally and says it aims to give a modern British brasserie feel, offering informal, high-end food with 'the focus on providing a quality customer experience'.
