ONE of Taunton's busiest roads has been closed in both directions this morning (Monday, November 12) after a car crashed into a bus shelter.
Police have closed East Reach in Taunton leaving commuters to find alternate routes. However as of this afternoon, the road has re-opened.
A blue Peogeot 206 has been left with severe damage after colliding with the bus shelter, and both the police and Highways have been at the scene.
A spokesman for the South West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 4:43am this morning to reports of a road traffic collision.
"We attended with an ambulance and one patient was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital with reports of a head injury."
