A MAN who is accused of taking part in the murder of a 20-year-old in Bridgwater has been remanded in custody by a High Court judge.

Nial Koporo did not appear at the short administrative hearing at Exeter Crown Court before The Honourable Mr Justice Dingemans.

His case was adjourned in his absence until December 6, when he will appear alongside his co-accused Olivia Cromwell.

Cromwell, aged 18, of Crescent Way, North Finchley, and Koporo, aged 25, of St Stephens Crescent, Westminster, are both charged with the murder of Tyrone Mulinde.

Mr Mulinde, originally from Uganda, was allegedly killed in a knife attack on George Street, Bridgwater, on October 20 after he had travelled to the town from his home in London.

Koporo was remanded in custody. Cromwell was also remanded in custody at a separate hearing on Tuesday November 6.

Their cases were both adjourned for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Exeter on December 6, when they will enter pleas.

The killing is being investigated by officers from three forces and the inquiry is being led by detectives from Wiltshire Constabulary.

No date has been set so far for a trial, which is expected to take place in Exeter, Taunton or Bristol. Crown Court.
