Carly Burns is getting the chance to live her, and every girls dream, to play a Disney princess in this year's pantomime at Venue Cymru.

Burns will play Cinderella and said she was extremely excited to play the role of her favourite character from her favourite Disney story and was hoping to bring "a bit of herself" and a bit of fun to the role.

Talking to Pioneer reporter Patrick Glover, she said: "I've been doing pantomime's since I was a little girl, starting off as the children ensemble and my first princess pantomime was Aladdin, I played Jasmine.

"I've done Cinderella once before, Cinderella is the best princess so I'm excited about playing her again.

"I just want to be fun for the kids, I want them to look up and think that's a role model. You don't want the princess to be boring she wants to be fun and exciting, so just a bit of me.

"I adore Cinderella so it's a dream to play her again."

While they haven't begun rehearsing yet, Burns said she was excited to start and get her first look at the script later this month.

But she gave a bit of an insight for those who will be heading along next month to seethe Cinderella Pantomime in Venue Cymru.

Burns said: "It is going to be a bit of a spectacular, it's going to be big, and the costumes are amazing."

Burns will be joined by The Wanted's Tom Parker who will play the role of Prince Charming, Natalie Winsor as the Fairy Godmother and Llandudno's very own Chris Bewsher as Dandini.

Cinderella will be on at Venue Cymru from December 8 to 30 and tickets are on sale now from https://venuecymru.co.uk/cinderella, at the box office or by calling 01492 872 000.
