FLOODING is 'likely' across Somerset this morning.
The Met Office has issued the yellow alert for the South West for rain.
The warning says heavy rain is expected until noon today and has been battering the county since midnight.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: "Persistent, and at times heavy rain will develop over parts of south Wales and southwest England into the early hours of Wednesday, easing later on Wednesday morning.
"During this period 15-25 mm of rain is expected widely with totals of 40-60 mm over some hills exposed to the strong southerly winds.
"Some intense bursts of rain, as well as autumn leaf fall blocking drains, increases the likelihood of impacts."
Rain is expected throughout the day, clearing up this evening.
Temperatures will be around 12 degrees Celsius during the day, dropping to 7 overnight.
Another warning has been issued for Friday - a yellow alert for wind and rain.
