IT has been a busy month at Haygrove School in Bridgwater.

On Thursday, October 11, the school hall was transformed into a dance studio for the school's first ever 'Dance Showcase'.

Here students expressed themselves through a variety of different dances, many of which were choreographed by the students themselves.

Drama teacher Miss Hannaby said: "Thank you to all the students and members of staff who made this showcase evening possible.

"I am so proud of all the students that took part. With so much talent being displayed I hope this Dance Showcase can develop into something special here at Haygrove."

Then on Friday, October 12, the school was visited by The Singing Children of Africa; a Kenyan choir who travel with the Educate The Kids charity.

A fun-filled day was rounded off with a fantastic concert of traditional Kenyan song and dance.

Along with a special donation of washbags for each of the choir members to take home, the school raised an impressive £1,320 for the charity.
