MEMBERS of the public have been warned not to approach an escaped prisoner who may be in Somerset.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for information to find Adam Clarke, who has absconded from HMP Springhill.

Clarke, 35, was on day release from the prison but failed to return.

He was reported missing at 11.30am on Saturday (October 6).

He is white, 5ft 11ins tall, of stocky build, bald, with blue eyes.

He has tattoos depicting guns on his neck, the name 'Branden' tattooed on his left arm, and the name 'Kayleigh' tattooed on his right arm.

When Clarke was last seen, he was wearing a light blue long sleeved jumper, dark coloured jeans, white footwear and a gold coloured watch.

Clarke, who was convicted of drugs offences, has links to the Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Andrew Jones said: “Anyone who has information about Adam Clarke’s whereabouts is urged to call 999 in an emergency or 101 in a non-emergency, quoting reference number 43180305506.

“Please do not approach Clarke, instead contact the police immediately.”
