ALL the fun of the fair was in town this week in 1988.
The traditional Bridgwater Fair, as now, rolled into town giving residents thrills and spills throughout the week.
Among those enjoying the rides was Bridgwater Mayor Trevor Donaldson, who went for a spin on the waltzers after the official opening ceremony.
He is pictured on the ride alongside chairman of Sedgemoor District Council, Lt Col Michael Tingey and their wives, Margaret and May.
And excitement was particularly high for a death-defying ride called Voyager, which cost £1 a ride...
