CONSTRUCTION work has begun on the new Premier Inn that will be completed in just 38 weeks at the £150 million Bridgwater Gateway business park.
Carter Lauren Construction, lead contractor for the three-story 100-bedroom hotel, has started groundworks on a prime road frontage plot near the entrance to the 100-acre site, beside Junction 24 of the M5.
Phil Wade, development manager for Bridgwater Gateway,said: “It is less than a year since groundworks began on the infrastructure at Bridgwater Gateway, and now machinery is in action on site again for the groundworks for a new Premier Inn.
“This work vividly illustrates the fast-track delivery of cutting-edge new commercial buildings that will happening at Bridgwater Gateway.”
The Premier Inn will formally open the new hotel at Bridgwater in the summer 2019 and create 32 jobs.
