BRIDGWATER College Academy has applied for permission to build a new ‘Hub’ building as it looks to expand.
The new ‘Hub’ building is planned as a central entrance for the three campuses at the academy; the Polden, Quantock and Sedgemoor campuses.
Somerset County Council has identified that 300 additional secondary school places were required to meet the increasing demand.
The building will feature a lobby, reception, meeting room, administration office and a number of science and general classrooms.
The existing science block will be refurbished for art and general classrooms.
To view the full plan visit the planning section of the Sedgemoor District Council website and search for the application number 08/18/00165.
