WE have all driven along and not realised just how far we've gone.
But these signs would only add to the confusion, as if they were accurate, it would mean travelling a mile in a time Sir Roger Bannister could only dream of...
The signs, at Bathealton, are just yards apart and point travellers in the direction of Wellington.
However, one lists the distance as five miles, the other, six.
Somerset Camera Club member Nick Chipchase, who spotted the signs, dubbed it 'the shortest mile'. We tend to agree.
