PURITON teenager Karen Williams was dreaming of stardom in 1988 after appearing in a national newspaper.
The 14-year-old aspiring model - who suffered from partial hearing loss - featured on the pages of the Sunday People.
And the Chilton Trinity pupil hoped it would be the first step to catwalk stardom.
"It was brilliant," she said.
"When I finished doing the photographs I realised how lucky I was.
"I like bring photographed and people making me up."
