BRIDGWATER poker player John Hancock was flush with success in 2008 after making the quarter finals of a national competition.
John, who competed each week at Great Escape pub, made the top of the leaderboard in the Champions Poker League.
He and Great Escape landlord Pete Stamps, were off to the Grosvenor Casino in Bristol to compete in the next round.
