A WOMAN had her purse stolen in an unprovoked attack in Bridgwater.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the incident which was reported on Friday, June 15.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Did you witness an assault in Cranleigh Gardens, Bridgwater, at about 4.30pm on Friday, June 15?
"A woman was assaulted and had her purse stolen in an unprovoked attack."
Anybody who saw the incident or who may have information is asked to call police on 101 quoting crime reference 5218131856.
