PLEA: Sean Doel leaving Taunton Crown Court following a previous hearing in March
A BRIDGWATER man has pleaded guilty in court of importing a child sex doll from China.
Sean Julian Doel, 46, of Graves Close in Bridgwater pleaded guilty to improperly importing or being concerned in the importation of goods to which a prohibition/restriction applies when he appeared at Taunton Crown Court on Thursday, June 14.
The Crown Prosecution Service said Mr Doel was involved in bringing an 'indecent or obscene article' into the country.
It is thought this is the first such case to take place in Somerset.
Doel committed the act between April 1 and April 27 last year.
He will be sentenced at Taunton Crown Court on Friday, July 6.
