DRIVERS are facing long delays after a crash has closed a main road going through a Somerset village.

The crash happened at around 9.50am A361 Main Road in Burrowbridge.

Two vehicles are reportedly involved in the incident and road is currently closed both ways.

The carriageways are blocked between School Lane and Northmoor Lane, in Lyng.

A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.47am to reports of a road traffic collision.

"We have attended with two ambulances, an Operations Officer and a doctor."
