A WOMAN lost an unborn baby and a two-year-old has suffered life-changing injuries after a crash in Somerset.

Emergency vehicles rushed to the scene near Somerton at around 5.15pm on Wednesday, March 28.

Now, police are appealing for witnesses to help with their investigation.

A spokesman said: "We’re appealing for witnesses following a collision involving four cars in Somerset.

"The incident happened at approximately 5.15pm on Wednesday, March 28, on the B3151 between Somerton and Kingsdon.

"The vehicles involved were a blue Ford Fiesta, a blue Peugeot 307, a yellow Seat Ibiza and a green Volkswagen Polo.

"A woman in her 30s sadly lost her unborn child following the incident. A two-year-child also suffered life-changing injuries.

"We’re keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision and in particular, the manner in which the Ford Fiesta was being driven before it happened."
