NORTH Petherton Ladies eased into the final of the Webb-Ellis Somerset Women’s Cup with a thumping win over Yeovil at Chard RFC on Sunday.
Pethy were on the front foot from the off, with Stacey Saunders claiming an interception try before Claire Williams went over for the first of her four tries.
Saunders went on to complete a hat-trick of her own, while Vicki Redwood and Rosie Wheeler also scored.
Wheeler ended the day with a 25-point haul, consisting of a try, two penalties and seven conversions.
THERE was no such joy for North Petherton’s men’s first XV, who were beaten 45-0 by high-flying Drybrook in South West One (W).
This Saturday, Pethy host Thornbury.
