DRIVERS must be careful this morning as the Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice.
The weather warning, which is in place until 10am, warned that 'icy patches are expected to form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths on Sunday night and Monday morning.'
The warning notice added: "This is likely to lead to some injuries from slips and falls."
In their South West summary, Met Office said: "After a cold start with some ice, it will be a largely dry, sunny day for many of us. However, some showers remain likely, especially in the west.
"Feeling a little less cold than Sunday with lighter winds."
The maximum temperature is set to reach 7C, before falling to a minimum of 1C overnight.
Tomorrow's forecast said: "A squally band of rain and hail moves eastwards with a risk of gales for a time. Showers, lighter winds and sunny spells will follow, with the showers easing later."
The temperature is again set to peak at around 7C.
