MORE than 1,500 homes were left without electricity following a power cut in Bridgwater this afternoon.
The power was cut off from more than 1,500 homes at 2.05pm today following a fault around Bath Road.
Western Power say supplies have been restored to most homes in the TA7 area and are working to restore power to the remaining properties by 7pm.
A spokesman from Western Power said: "We were called at 2.05pm after there was a power cut in and around Bath Road in Bridgwater.
"Originally at 2.05pm more than 1,500 homes had no power but engineers have gradually been switching power back on for home and now around 190 homes are still without power."
