IF any ladies out there fancy trying their hand at something a bit different, North Petherton Ladies rugby team are recruiting new players.
The team have been going for two years and will be holding a special open day event on Sunday, July 3 between 12pm and 2pm.
Current player Kate Williams said rugby is a great way to make friends, have fun and stay active.
"We have been going for a couple of years now but we have lost a few players, whether through pregnancy, work commitments or people moving away and we really want to keep the team going," she said.
The try out day will be a chance to meet the team, try a few skill games and players of all abilities are welcome.
Another player, Sue Calladine, 37, added: "I had never played before 18 months ago, I just thought it would be a good way to get fit but I never thought I would play in a match, but now I love it."
"It is really good from a social perspective, you get covered in mud and it is a bit of time during the week for yourself."
