Last week’s shapely legs fooled a lot of people – with some believing it to the pins of super model Jerry Hall or nearer to home the legs of Admiral Blake – but no they were the stoic feet of The Spirit of Carnival in The Cornhill Bridgwater.
Several readers spotted the statue – while others (possibly due to Christmas) also belatedly called in about the previous week’s picture of The Cornhill itself – including this gentleman: Hi Harry, Really think I've got this one, is it the Old Corn exchange aka Prezzo? If I'm correct I'd be delighted if I was to be named in the paper. Thanks, Doos Bagwell. Your wish is granted.
So onto this week. Where is this sunny street? Those sunlit hills and attractive roof scape - any ideas? Answers as ever by email to harry.mottram@nqsw.co.uk
