A B&B near Bridgwater has beaten stiff competition to win the title of the the B&B with the best breakfast.

Huntstile Organic Farm scooped the award for breakfast like no other in a nationwide competition organised by Dorset Cereals.

The award was presented in a ceremony on Friday November 20.

Huntstile Organic Farm is located in Goathurst and produces a variety of organic vegetables, fruit and medicinal herbs, as well as keeping cows, pigs and chickens.

The B&B is run by John and Lizzie Ridout and has been the Ridout family home since 1951.

Lizzie said: "Huntstile Organic Farm is a rural retreat where guests can relax and sample the best organic Somerset fare.

"We are very passionate about our food, trying to produce as much of the food we serve as possible.

"Our motto is love your food so we’re delighted to have been recognised for our breakfast in the Dorset Cereals B&B Awards."

The public nominated hundreds of B&Bs and voted for six businesses to win awards in categories such as quirky character, breakfast like no other, friendliest hosts, a dog’s best friend and best overall.
