DID you know there are over 500 Portuguese speakers in Bridgwater? Did you know the Portugese community in Somerset can be found in towns and villages across the country?

Well, now the Portuguese community and voluntary collective Tuga Productions, are organizing the first ever Afro-Portuguese Halloween Party in Somerset.

The event will feature artists from Portugal, Brasil, Angola, Cape-Verde and East-Timor. There will be live music with several styles such as Hip-hop, Zouk, Afro-House, Samba, R&B, Semba and Fado and a kids disco.

If you love great food then you will love the amazing range of dishes on offer, featuring traditional cuisine from Brasil, Portugal, Angola and Cape-Verde.

There will be cinema, face painting and other activities such as "trick or treat" on the streets of Spaxton Village.

A spokesman for the event said: "Portuguese speakers' communities in Somerset and from the whole south west will attend this event where we will mix our traditions with the English traditions and provide a unique event for all ages.

October 31, 6pm-1am. £2 with fancy dress, £5 without. Kids free. Spaxton Villahe Hall.
