BRIDGWATER residents looking to make the most of their garden this summer are being encouraged to sign up to a garden waste collection service.
The Sedgemoor District Council initiative costs £48 per year with those signing up to the scheme receiving 25 collections a year.
It is hoped the scheme will encourage residents, not only to take pride in their gardens, but also to recycle their garden waste.
Customers signing up have the option of receiving a green wheelie bin for their garden waste or garden waste sacks at a cost of £25 for 10 bags.
Sedgemoor will be sending letters to more than 10,000 current customers inviting them to renew their subscriptions, which start this month.
Customers considering joining up can call in at Bridgwater House or telephone 0845-4082543 to order and pay.
