SOMERSET cricket captain Marcus Trescothick and his team of cyclists brought up a gruelling triple century as they completed a 300-mile ride to raise money for the county’s newest development project.
Trescothick and his team, which included the club’s chief executive, Guy Lavender, assistant coach, Jason Kerr, and star all-rounder Peter Trego, started their journey in St Austell, Cornwall.
Over the course of five days they travelled up to Bath via Plymouth, Exeter and Yeovil before finishing in Taunton.
The ‘Pedal for Pavilion’ ride raised money for the club’s pavilion project – a new facility which will comprise highquality covered seating behind the bowler’s arm, alongside a large bar and entertainment area, high-quality corporate/media facilities and a magnificent rooftop viewing area.
