Fire crews have rescued a dog from a pit in Woolavington earlier this evening (Wednesday).
One fire engine and a specialist rescue team from Bridgwater were called to a field on the B3141 following reports of a dog caught within a field of brambles.
They used small tools to cut away the brambles before the dog was rescued from a pit approximately five feet deep.
The dog was returned, unharmed, to its owner.
