A DAY of fun, games and laughter came to Oak Trees care home in Rhode Lane, Bridgwater, as the staff and residents opened their doors for their annual summer fete.
There was plenty to see and do with a variety of stalls, raffle, refreshments and fair games for everyone to get involved in.
Friends and family attended the event, joined by special guest Mayor of Bridgwater, Cllr Steve Austen and wife Stella.
More than £700 was raised at the event for the residents’ amenities fund, which goes towards trips out, activities and entertainment for the residents.
Pat Ellesmere, manager at Oak Trees, said: “I would like to personally thank the staff for the effort and commitment they’ve put into organising this event and I would also like to thank everyone who attended and contributed.
“We’ve all had a really lovely day and we can’t wait to start planning our next event.”
