TWO students from Bridgwater College engineering department have teamed up with Bishop Fox’s School in Taunton to work on a racing car project.
Rolls-Royce students, Alex Fenner, 24, from Bristol and Jessica Herbert, 17, from Portishead, have been helping the school change their vehicle, which is to take part in the national Greenpower Formula 24 endurance race series, from steel to aluminium frame - which would be lighter and faster and enable the students to compete with greater success.
The pupils now hope to race the car next year in the race, the winners being the car which covers the furthest distance in 90 minutes.
